Okay, was planning to sleep until I read Hui Min's blog. IT'S BLOODY NEW YEAR'S EVE MORNING LIAO SO HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE!
Let's recap what happened this year:
Min: OIE! Kuku jiao, where's my present?
Every beginning of the year starts with Hui Min's birthday. On her birthday 2005 we went to NYDC to eat Meatballs that ate Manhattan (is it Manhattan?). Cool her birthday is so big we ate something equivalent to a city state.
We ate so much I think we got one continent around our bellies.
So after Minnie's birthday, came mine! It was such a great day because the people I really care about all came (with the exception of Vincent la, Wilmer la, Yang Fei la, Ah Peng la, Wei Jie la...)
Andrew's face machiam kena bang by lorry. And my pose looks like I gonna bang him one more time.
We had dinner at Brewerks, and had lots and lots of beer!
I think this rocket of beer brought me somewhere near to Mars.
That day was so bloody happy until some helluva Ang Mohs came to steal my limelight, I feel like soaking them in lime juice.
If only I tranformed into an Ang Moh I would be cooler than them! Swear!
But it was still a great birthday because I broke my back taking photos with Jasmine Png...
Oie! You can don't bend bend here, bend bend there anot?
After a great birthday celebration, the Chinese Lunar New Year was next! The days of Ang Baos, tidbits, and out-of-the-blue girl bands crooning New Year songs techno-style! But this year, the SJCC (Singapore Junior Chef's Club) also organised this Lou Hei Dinner.
Gong Xi Ni. Compliments of Nixon, Steward and Me. Where's my ang bao?
The food was pretty good, and it was the first time I attended a Lou Hei dinner out of the family. I can recall having like close to 10 YuShengs this year. Hope the next year would spare me the torture of eating raw carrots and sesame seeds.
Guess the birthday girl.
Next, came yet another significant birthday. Okay, this one I admit lose. Bloody heck Tash got the whole Singapore celebrating her birthday, and cost me one bloody afternoon blowing balloons. Cause all of us 'pa kat' act like we forgotten her birthday, but the fact is we asked everybody to prepare to come for her party and bought lots of stuff for her. On her birthday itself, Minnie even lured her out of the house so we can do the decos.
Even the cake size also win me. Neh bong.
Then came the holidays. I spent the holidays partying and getting to know hot babes. I spent my holidays taking this stupid course module called "Psychology of Creativity". Kuku jiao, creativity then creativity la, what Psychology of Creativity. I think the people that invented it are Psycho.
The Psycho-ed.
We kena psycho throughout the modules that we ARE creative. Heck the whole day spent asking us to do simple things, then we can do it they say "NEH! YOU CREATIVE WAT!". I feel like jumping off the building doing a creative backflip.
Kiss me, Kiss me, Because I creative!
But despite the dumb module, the people I met made it worthwhile. There's this girl called Amanda that drank Ribena everyday, I wish I can tell her to see the doctor and check her sugar condition. Then got this wierdo dude that come to school in tattered and torn clothes and has a wierd name called Barney. He sings wierd childish songs in a wierd voice too. No he's not purple.
Vicky, vick vick.
This year was also the year I met someone over the net, and actually met her face to face. Her name is Victoria but I just call her Vicky. I never believed that I would do that, but Vicky is really a very intelligent lady. Her thought patterns are so complicated I actually liked talking to her!
I got a cute God. Amen.
And after being inactive in church for quite sometime, I found a church that I felt a sense of belonging. I started going to FCBC regularly and found myself closer to The Man Upstairs. I AM ALIVE AGAIN.
Sir, may I have your passport for registration?
Then, the holidays ended, and I started my attachment at The Pan Pacific Singapore. Work was tough, but the people brightened my day! Plus, I got Tash in the same SIP company so I got company! (I did not mean to rhyme.)
Poolbar, your number one choice!
This was also the year my brothers got their licenses, and we started breaking eating wind!
Team Sud-ness, as per Wilmer. Sud until wind make the picture blur.
There was also one of the most happening gigs Democracy for Listeners ever done.
Why Marc smile until like that (second from the left)?
2005 is also the year that I returned to the Zoo. I think I never visited that place since I came out of Primary school man.
Look Ma! A monkey! Er.. No. IT'S AH MENG!
Then, months later, SIP ended and we went back to school! We were so happy to see each other again! SIP made us realise that work sucks, school rocks.
Back-to-school antics.
Then, we also went for our educational trip. I went to Macau and Hong Kong and realised that I should be living in Hong Kong!
Ms Quah in Europe. NO LA! Macau la!
And as the year nears the end, the ding-dong Christmas bell rings! And along with DING DONG DING DONG came food, booze and presents! (along with tattered and torn wallets).
AH! Christmas turkey!
This year was really a great year. There's more than what I have posted, and while they are not mentioned, it's all embedded deep in my heart, mind and soul.
And as I finish this post, I can feel a tinge of sadness for the time gone by, and of course, the reminder that my grandfather passed away this year too. As I remember the good things, I pray I can learn from and forget the bad things. It's been a trying year, but the next year would be no different. Everybody makes New year resolutions, and for the next year, I wish that I will turn 18.
SIAN LA. 20 liao!
