YAY! I finished my exams liao! FREEEEEEEEEEEE!
Chirp chirp!
*Disclaimer* The following would be highly religious (Christian), so read on if you are open-minded to religious debate. If not, it is recommended for you to stop reading and wait for my next more bo liao post. WEEEEEEE.
Anyways, just a random thought. Xiaxue once mentioned, "Can God create a boulder so heavy that He Himself cannot carry?"
The point of argument seemed perfect. If He can make the boulder, then there is one thing He can't do (a.k.a carry the boulder), so He's not omnipotent afterall. And if He can't make the boulder, then He can't make the boulder (duh), a.k.a not omnipotent again! ARGHH!
God: WAH PIANG OIE! Too big la!
I am Christian, so I should be baffled and go "err... actually hor... uhmm... we are mere humans we will never know one la!" and be satisfied with this hanging-from-out-of-nowhere answer.
BUT NO!
I got the answer during a conversation with a non-believer about life after death. I was talking about the free-will that God gave us when he created Adam and Eve.
OIE! Laugh simi! I am your lao peh and lao bu!
See, it is already evident that he can create things that He cannot control! He cannot force us to love Him, if not the whole world would be filled with us Christians already! So theoritically, He can create that boulder. And just like our free-will, while He cannot control our decisions, He can affect our decisions! For example, before Moses fled Egypt with the Israelites, God hardened the heart of the Pharoah so that His will can be fulfilled (Exodus10:1).
Therefore, while He can create the boulder, if He needs to lift it, He will affect the surroundings of the boulder, or the boulder itself, so that He can achieve the task!
EH! PLAY CHEAT ONE!
But first things first, WHICH GOD WILL BE THAT BO LIAO?
