Bier. Prost! First and foremost, I love food and beverage. I like any well-cooked food, and I am a fan of authentic German-brewed beers. Beers can make me smile ANYTIME. I remember there was once I was in such a bad mood that Tash couldn't cheer me up, but when we got ourselves some cuttlefish and Korean beer, I smiled. I couldn't help it. I just love the first gulp of fizzy alcoholic goodness. Cows are cute, not stupid. Secondly, I love silly cows. Cows make me smile while walking alone to work; laugh when I think about their silly ways; or simply just brighten up my whole day by a simple encouragement. It no longer matters whether cows like me, because sometimes to love is a greater privilege. Service in progress. Thirdly, I love to serve (though not NS). The feeling of meeting people from all over the world and letting them miss your country when they go home is the best. Even better, when they show signs of appreciation with cards, or even dinner treats, you feel so good about what you have done. I serve not because I want to get a good pay or benefits. I serve because I love people. Pluck, slap, pop. Fourth, I love music. Music is not a hobby, nor a job. It is a passion, especially if you are a bassist. The bassist hears beyond melodies and tunes: we listen to a deeper, more sensual aspect of groove and rhythm. We are the backbone of music, and the keepers of time. We are music's best kept secret. Bass is my life. And life is bass. Four stringed splendour. Fifth, of course, if my darling wife, Samick Cobra the bass guitar. She is my first and I will never sell her for any amount. As much as I have grown in technique, so has she grown in the number of scratches. But that only serves as a reminder of how we are partners in the world of notes and rhythm. DFL. Six, I love my band: Democracy For Listeners. This is the band that Tash and I founded. This is my first band, and the reason that led me to the passion of bass. I was a drummer, and I jammed pretty often with Tash. Until I met Fagan, who was an obviously better drummer, I decided to learn bass. This band is the band that led me to what I am, and the band that let me see my true friends. Friends that I know I can keep in my heart, mind and soul forever. Childhood friends are best of friends. Seventh, I love my secondary school buddies Wilmer and Vincent. These are the people that shared my life: the process of maturing and growing up. They see all aspects of me, good and bad, but bear no judgements against my character. Similarly, I do not judge them. The only aspects we see in each other is that, we are connected by experiences and time. HUH?!?! SIMI LAI EH?! Last and most importantly, this represents God. He played a bigger part than anything else in the world, and I love Him like heck. Though I never saw him (explaining the nothingness above), I know how He looks like in my heart. I know what He is like in person and how much love He contains. It's infinite and neverending through eternity. He is someone whom I truly cannot describe: you can only feel and experience Him by yourself. So people, what and who do you love?
